A Git client needs to be installed on the platform on which development will occur in order to access code in the controlled repository.

To install a Git client:

1. Go to Git for Windows and download the client application. Go to Google Code downloads to download the latest Git for Windows version.

2. Double-click downloaded file to start installation and click Next.

3. Click Next to acknowledge license information.

4. Change the installation directory if needed and click Next.

5. Select additional components if needed and click Next.

6. Select or omit the Start Menu Folder and click Next.

7. Choose Run Git from the Windows Command Prompt and click Next.

8. Configure your desired line ending conversions, click Next and finish the installation.
