Action progress notifications provide needed feedback and increase confidence of the user in the interface and thus fundamentally improve the overall user experience.
Concept
Action progress notifications messages differ from system messages in a number of ways. First, action progress notifications are not added to the messages list, do not light up the messages icon or do not have to be acknowledged. An action issuing such notifications may however choose to also add an entry to the messages list logging that the action has run and was triggered by a user.
