Date field properties

type

requiredSet the type property to , default is java.util.Date

Defines whether  to ensure that the value is saved as a Calendar object and not or a String.

dateFormat

optional, default is yyyy-MM-dd

Format in which the date is displayed to users. See the SimpleDateFormat class for allowed patterns.
