Configure the Solr server address in Configuration > /modules/solr-search-provider/config/solrConfig@baseURL. baseURL should be http://<domain_name>:<port>/solr/<solr_core_name>. So if solr server was installed as described in https://documentation.magnolia-cms.com/display/DOCS/Solr+module#Solrmodule-InstallingSolr5installing solr5 then baseURL is http://localhost:8983/solr/magnolia.
