The release of Magnolia 5.6 brings the Publishing module Publishing (see the magnolia-publishing-pack on nexus) intended as a replacement for the Activation module ( /modules/activation ) and the Transactional Activation module ( /modules/exchange-transactional ). The new Publishing  Publishing module pack brings order to the publishing actions.
